Marie Manley Scholarship
This scholarship is dedicated to Marie A. Manley who devoted her life’s energy to her family
and service to the Flint Community. The Scholarship fund has been developed through private 
contributions and its purpose is to assist female youth in their pursuit of higher education.

J.B Cook and George Carpenter Scholarship
To qualify for this scholarship you must have a 2.0 cumulative grade point average, must be a Flint 
Community Schools’ graduating senior, and involved in the Flint Youth Tennis Program and/or a 
tennis player in the Flint Olympian and CANUSA Games.

Staisil Application
The children of Howard S. Staisil participated in the Flint Olympian and CANUSA Games. Michael
and Michele participated in soccer. As a result, this sport area was selected for the scholarship. 
This year, the scholarships will be awarded to MALE soccer student-athletes.

This week is the kick-off for the Flint Olympian Games. It all starts off with the 57th Flint Olympian Games Opening Ceremonies at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Northwestern High School’s Houston Stadium.

Bitty Basketball for 6,7, & 8 Year old Boys & Girls

On June 18th & 20 there will be a developmental league for kids for 6, 7 & 8 year old Boys and Girls. This will take place at Freeman Elementary school from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. Players will run drills on all days. Students need to wear gym shoes, shorts and t-shirts.  Teams will be formed as balanced as possible for fair and friendly competition.  Birth certificates are required at time of registration for non- Flint Community Schools's students.

The 2013 CANUSA  Games will take place in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada this year. The dates are August 9-11, 2013
Since 1957, more than 665,000 youth and adults in Flint and Genesee County from 5 to 85 years old have participated in the Flint Olympian Games.This year's Olympian Games consists of 28 athletic events and marks the 56th year of "The Games." The CANUSA Games, in the 56th year of friendly competition with Hamilton, Ontario, will feature 17 sporting events and will be held in Flint, Michigan.



The 57th Flint Olympian Games are scheduled from July 9-30, 2013. Join us for the Opening Ceremonies for the Olympian Games on Tuesday, July 9, at Northwestern
High School’s Houston Stadium at 10 a.m.
